DEPENDING ON GOD

I wanted to write about God first. That was my intention for weeks. The closer I got to the day I would actually submit something here, I changed my mind and thought my first article should be about exercise. I went to my articles to proofread them once more. In the last hour I have encountered another problem and feel, yes it should be about God. I feel the Holy Spirit is telling me to depend on God with this situation because that’s the way I am going to have victory.

So for that reason, I should praise and thank God. Thank you God! It is so easy to forget to praise God. Scripture says “Do Not Worry.” I try not to forget but inevitably, I find myself complaining. I have improved because I thank God more than I used to. I read articles from Christians that I admire and lately I have read a few of them writing “DEPEND ON GOD.” I know that, but sometimes I need to be reminded. Also, when you are praying and it seems like God is far away or that He is not listening, He is listening and He will answer ….. when it is time.

EXERCISE

The reason I want to talk about exercise is because when things are hectic and I am flustered or I just cannot find a solution to ….. whatever, I exercise. I also try to find a few days in the week, stress or no stress to get on my treadmill, put on my headset so I can listen to my music, and walk and run. The music and the movement is so relaxing. I forget about everything for a while. It REALLY helps. It is so invigorating. It is a day like today when I have a new problem with customer service at a store that I will spend maybe 30 minutes on the treadmill and figure out a solution to customer service tomorrow.

See that’s the thing, we have to find a way to relax. If you have just one tiny problem every other year (DON’T WE ALL WISH!) it never stops, it is not going to be your last one, not for anyone. Now that I’m writing, perhaps it was a distraction so that I could delay posting again. No matter, it is getting posted tonight!

I know there are trainers that can tell us all the right way, and the right time of day, and the length of time (20 minutes?) that we should exercise, but we will talk about that another time. Right now, I just need to walk, or run for a while, listen to some upbeat music that gets ya’ moving. I’ll listen to someone I admire with a beautiful voice and just relax. There have been a couple times I’ve been so engrossed in my workout and trying to dancing on the treadmill that I almost fell off! Yes, I just let it all go! I thank God for my treadmill and for music. By the way, I don’t recommend dancing on the treadmill. I just got carried away. However, if you cannot resist and you have to “bust a move” hold on to the handles on the treadmill.

Is anyone working out just for fun? Any tips?
